i have a nikon n55 film slr and i'm looking to buy a nikon d70 or d80. i have two lenses, one of which is a 70-200mm (af). both the n55 and d70/80 use a 'g' lens mount but i'm wondering if there are disadvantages to using a film lens on a digital camera. thanks in advance!

can a nikon slr 35mm lens be used on a nikon digital camera?
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009Will a Nikon D80 use any nikon lens?
Tuesday, April 21st, 2009I am wondering about the compatability of the nikon D cameras (80, 200, 300) with older nikon lenses. I have heard that nikon has not changed its lens mount (i think it is the F mount right?) since 1959. So I am wondering if I am walking around a flea market and I find an old nikon lens or two will they work on a D80. Can anybody help with this?
Thanks in advance.
