I’m a novice so please take that into consideration when answering…I wil buy a nikon d80 but having a hard time with the lens choice. I just want one. I just want beautiful pictures of my kids, especially close up and some travel shots. I’ve heard good things about the Nikkor 18-200 but hear it’s not so great for close ups and it’s kinda expensive, although if it serves the purpose well, I can afford it. Do you suggest just going with the 18-200 or is there a better lens for what I want to do. Also, is Nikkor really that much superior to Sigma and others?
oh I do want to get the 18-135 since the price is so much better but I've read that it's not a great lens…that it's made of plastic (?) and has some problems with dark spots in the corners (???-just reporting what I've read.)

I'm planning to buy a nikon D80 which comes either comes with a 18-70mm lens or with a 18-135mm lens. My question is, since I already have a Nikkor AF 28-85mm lens that I use with my analog reflex camera, which one of these lenses should I choose?
I originally wanted to buy the nikon D80 in its "body only" version but a salesperson told me that since my lens was non-digital the values printed on the lens would not be true to what I'm getting with my analog reflex.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Also what are the advantages of having the 18mm-200mm DX lens? How do you like your nikon D80?

I am interested to get a nikon D80. There's Nikkor, Sigma, nikon, etc. What is the best lens for it?
Help please!
I also want to ask if a nikon D80 is a good buy. I currently own a Canon 350D (Digital XT) and am quite happy with it.

I’m looking to get a fisheye for my nikon D80. I’ve been looking at the nikon 10.5mm, Tokina 10-17mm and the Sigma 10-20mm. If anyone can give me either more options or help me decide which would be my best bet it would be greatly appreciated. I use it mainly for skateboarding, bmx, and concerts.
