the lens itself is fine, the glass part, i just have fingerprints on the lens, where you hold it on an SLR, can i just use rubbing alcohol or what?

Sunday, April 26th, 2009So someone I know accidentally knocked some Coke onto my nikon L2 last thanksgiving and as such left me with a sticky lens and shutter doors. There is a faint spot in the lcd but other than that everything seems to work fine. Would I ruin the lens if I cleaned it with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol or do you have any suggestions on what to clean the sticky shutter doors with?

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009my brother left chocolate on our office desk. i had my camera on the desk because i was uploading pictures. the chocolate melted and got all over the front of my camera. it was a peppermint patty so it was really sticky. i got most of it off, but there is still some on my lens and shutter. i don't want to ruin my camera. is there any way to clean it without ruining it?
